To date, SUAY has diverted over 3.5 million pounds of textiles from landfills. Pioneering the clean-up economy, SUAY garments are created from a combination of post-consumer waste, deadstock, and domestically, organically grown fibers.

SUAY is a Los Angeles based, 100% vertical sewing and production shop founded in 2017. SUAY supports garment workersʼ rights and policy reform for fair wages, highlighting the numerous systemic injustices within the fashion industry.

SUAYʼs dedication to design, coupled with a drive for activism, is putting reclaimed products at the center of a social, economic and environmental revolution. Prioritizing upcycling not only massively impacts our planet, but our daily quality of life.

SUAY means beautiful in Thai and was chosen by the founder Lindsay and longterm collaborator, Tina, after 18 years of learning and growing together. Tinaʼs fingerprint is on everything SUAY creates. She and Lindsay share a passion for turning discarded clothes into beautiful new garments. As mothers, daughters, partners, and souls meant to find each other, SUAY shows the world what is possible with teamwork and drive.
